REI Coupons & Promo Codes – October 2026: $30 Member Bonus Card and Outlet Travel Pack Markdowns
A good travel pack is the piece of gear you'll use on every single trip for years, from red-eye flights to rainy train platforms. So it makes sense to buy it smart. REI doesn't post a public promo code right now, but in October 2026 there were several real ways to cut the price of your next carry-on, and one of them puts $30 back in your pocket. Here's everything we found on REI's own site.

Is There an REI Promo Code?
Not a public one. REI's official Coupons page said "There are currently no offers" under REI Offers when we checked in October 2026, so we won't invent a code. The savings that do exist come from membership perks, REI Outlet prices and free shipping. The email sign-up offer (15% off one REI Co-op brand item) is sent to you after you subscribe rather than posted as a code. Any new public code will show up on our REI deals page.
Deal 1: $30 Bonus Card With a New Membership
Through November 12, 2026, REI offers a $30 single-use bonus card when you buy the one-time $30 lifetime membership in the same order as an eligible $50+ purchase. The card lands in your email and expires 30 days after it's issued, so plan your second purchase (packing cubes, a rain shell, a duffel) within that month. Terms apply.
Deal 2: The Co-op Member Reward
Members get an annual reward that REI estimates at 10% back on eligible full-price purchases. REI's product pages show the math: the Cotopaxi Allpa 35 L ($230) lists a $23 member reward, and the Osprey Farpoint 40 ($200) lists $20. Membership also brings free U.S. standard shipping with no minimum and a 365-day return window on eligible items.
Deal 3: REI Outlet and Sale Prices
Travel bags we saw marked down on REI.com:
| Bag | Was | Sale price | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Osprey Sojourn Porter 46 Travel Pack | $200 | $149.73 | $50.27 |
| Osprey Sojourn Porter 30 Travel Pack | $180 | $134.73 | $45.27 |
| Osprey Daylite Carry-On Wheeled Duffel 40 | $250 | $186.73 | $63.27 |
| Helly Hansen Sport Expedition Trolley 40 L | $225 | $164.97 | $60.03 |
REI Outlet was also running a fall deals event (up to 50% off handpicked items) through October 19, 2026. Sale stock moves fast, especially popular colors.
Deal 4: Free Shipping
Members get free U.S. standard shipping with no minimum. Everyone else gets it on orders with a pre-tax subtotal of $100 or more. A single travel pack like the Osprey Daylite Carry-On 35 ($130) clears that on its own. Oversize charges can apply to heavy or large items.

REI Coupon FAQ
Does REI have a first-order discount?
There's no public first-order code. Signing up for REI emails comes with 15% off one REI Co-op brand item, and new members can earn the $30 bonus card through Nov 12, 2026.
What's the free shipping minimum?
None for members. Non-members need a pre-tax subtotal of $100 or more for free U.S. standard shipping.
Does the member reward apply to sale items?
REI says the estimated 10% reward is earned on eligible full-price purchases, so Outlet and sale prices generally don't count toward it.
How long do I have to return a travel pack?
365 days for members and 90 days for non-members on eligible items. Store returns are free; mail-in returns deduct $7.99 for standard packages.
The Bottom Line
The smartest REI travel order right now pairs a $30 membership with your new pack to unlock the $30 bonus card, free shipping and the yearly reward, or grabs an Outlet markdown if you only need one bag. Check our REI deals page before you buy.
